During his earlier life, CartoonBob spent 4 years in the US Navy... one year in the submarine service, and three years working as an illustrator at 6th Fleet HQ in London, England.
'It was a real adventure! I got to do a Med Cruise and a Caribbean Cruise. So glad to have the memories, and to still be in touch with some of my shipmates from that era.'
